Summary of Question:	Turban Without A Beard

Ok, this is more of a comment than a question but oh well. What IS the point of keeping a turban without a beard? Correct me if I'm wrong but is the beard not hair? Why selectively cut hair, what point does it serve. I would just like to ask all the beard trimming people out there who they are trying to fool. THe sikh population knows you trim, god knows you trim, who DOESNT know you trim? Why keep up the false appearance? It just seems to me that it's easier to cut or keep your hair. Not go in between. Earlier in school, a muslim student asked me why I dont cut my beard and another sikh kid in my school does. After I explained that we arent supposed to cut our hair, the muslim kid responded by saying, " Isn't trimming just like cheating then?"

Personally, this is the most valid statement I've heard in a while regarding to trimming one's beard. Do you agree?
