I have a very strange question about Sikhism. I understand that we are not neccesarily supposed to believe any old story which we are told however we hear quite often about aliens and UFO sightings. As a sikh are we supposed to be sceptical in this area or are we supposed to dismiss this. I mean afterall some people can validly submit video evidence to support their claims, some of which has not been passed off as fake. What I am basically asking is:

1. Are there any entities within the Shri Guru Granth Sahib which refers to Aliens or UFOs

2. Are we able to believe in this or should we 'wait' to see if we have any kind of encounter. Personally i dont believe in it!

(REPLY) Sat Nam. In Japji Sahib, Guru Nanak tells there are "worlds upon worlds" But right now, you are here on Earth, and your focus should be to look to the Guru's guidance to live your life righteously, as best you can according to God's will. I don't think these other questions are relevant. Why waste your time in conjecture about "aliens" and "UFOs" ? -- God created all beings, all Universes, and God created you to experience life on Earth here and now. Whether these things exist or not will not make you a better person, a better Sikh, will it?
