Sat Siri Akaal.

"Banee Guroo, Guroo Hai Banee, Vich Banee, Amrit Saray" Guru is in Bani and Bani is Guru. Siri Guru Granth Sahib is Shabad Guru, pure and simple. From the very start, from Guru Nanak's time, through 10th Master, the Guru of Gurus and Sikhs is Shabd Guru. Read Sidh Gosht of Guru Nanak in Ramkali raag (page 938, I think) and see the first answer to the first question the Siddhas asked Guru Nanak: "Who is your Guru? "My Guru is Shabd Guru" is Guru's answer.

Why we do Sukhasan daily, because Siri Guru is our Guru and is Living Word, not just a book of scripture. Sikhs have always treated Siri Guru Granth as living Guru, so Guru is put to bed every night. Read more at: http://www.sikhnet.com/Sikhism on protocol of Gurudwara and Siri Guru.

Guru ang sang,
