Thanks for answering my question, i love htis website

I was reading a question about piercings, and the sikh religions says it is bad to have piercings. My question is, when it is bad, come how our sikh tradition is to wear alot of gold in our ears and whole body, but its againest us to have piercings?

Sat nam. The wearing of gold/jewelry at weddings is NOT a Sikh tradition handed down by the Gurus. It is a tradition of Indian culture generally. There is a difference. Sikhi has its own traditions, but Indian Sikhs are also part of a very extensive Indian cultural tradition that is not specifically Sikh.
