I guess if someone asked me that question, I would answer the following:
We are all equal in that we are all created equally by God and are all equally His children. In theory, we are equal in the United States...in practice, we are not. Many strides have been made, but poor people, not just Blacks, do not have equal opportunities as people with money. Things are improving, but we do not live in an ideal society yet. I live in New Mexico, where many Hispanics and Native Americans are living in poverty and do not enjoy equal opportunities to education, health care and career development as the middle class. Things are improving, but we have a long way to go. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could spend the billions of dollars being spent in Iraq on programs to improve people's lives right here at home. There'd probably even be enough to help combat global health, education and housing issues. Keep the faith, work on yourself, so peace can glow from the inside out and do something to improve your own local community. Together we can make a change. Blessings. GTKK
