In my humble opinion Baba Buddhaji was as good a sewadar of guru ghar as Bhai Lehna. What criteria Guru Nanak sahib used to select Bhai Lehna over babaji.

According to the commentaries and opinions I have read, Guru Nanak had two main "reasons" for naming Bhai Lehna his successor, and calling him Guru Angad: Not only was Lehna's outstanding devotion proved time and time again, in exceptional ways, but Guru Nanak wanted to allow his son to continue and be the leader of the Udassis. In my humble opinion, above and beyond the other considerations, Guru Nanak's decision was definitely based on God's will, that he intuitively understood and obeyed. SP
