Today for the first time i was watching your this site and i found more than 90% questions start from the Basic Sikhism , the way of life. someone is asking if i cut hair or drink but do sewa in a gurudwara, shuldn't i consider myself as a sikh?

I FEEL ALL OF THESE QUESTIONS ARE COMING FROM GOOD HUMAN BEINGS BUT NOT GURSIKHS ( as they claim ).
The Basic Gursikhi starts from the thing that one should first know the GURU ( through his words), his heart will definitely ask him to follow these words of the GREAT TRUE GURU (SRI GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI), and once he starts following, he'll feel great by obeying every single instruction, guideline shown by his GURU, to get KHUSHI of his MALIK.
And once he falls in TRUE LOVE with his GURU then his mind, soul, body will strive to become a closest SEWAK of the GURU by doing all that will please the GURU.
It is a natural phenomenon that to whom we like the most, we tend to copy his / her image as far as possible ( for example hair cut like a film hero or anything else ). And the day we start liking our GURUs the most, no one would be able to stop us to follow all the REHAT MARYADA told by the GREAT GURU.
then thre won't be any confusion about hair cutting, drinking etc. we'll become a puppit, who is being governed by the GURU

Sat Siri Akal, ji.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with the forum. We hope that the young people who come to this site can ask whatever questions they have and, by Guru's grace, receive the inspirtation to commit to the life as you've beautifully described.

God bless.
