Summary of Question:I Need To Learn Punjabi

Hi, I have a need to learn Punjabi. I am 26 but can barely speak Punjabi and my translation is quite bad.

I went to India recently, I needed the inspiration. I was very close to a Pakistani girl, we broke up 18 months ago, but I always still think of her and its affected my sleep badly. We used to argue about faith. I used to just tell her horror stories of what Muslims did to Sikhs. I learnt now the mistakes I have done, but its too late.

I need to move on with my life, as she has. I find listening to gurbani, helps me relax and get away from my problems. When I visited the golden temple it seemed my mind was free from her. An I know that Sikhism is right as I see inspiration in Guru Gobind Singh and the hardship and pain he suffered.

Is there any camps or events in the London area I can attend to help me learn my faith.

Thanks in Advance

Sat SIri Akaal. I am glad the healing power of Golden Temple freed you. I know that feeling.
Look, do your own research. We don't have that info on the Youth forum. There are so many Sikhs in England. Find Gurdwaras, go to them, ask around. Use the web to search it out. Try www.sikhseek.com. You'll need someone who can help you read and learn to speak it. Doing it online is not enough. You could take out an ad even, in a paper that caters to Punjabis in the area. Good luck,
Guru ang sang, --DKK
