Summary of Question: | Am I Allowed To Do Indian Dance? |
Category: | Other |

I'm a sikh (girl) who likes indian dancing. Actually, I've been interested in taking classical indian classes, but I'm not sure if this kind of dancing is allowed in Sikhism. I like to think of Classical dancing as just an Indian thing- nothing between what religion you are, but I wanted to know if I'm allowed to learn classical indian dance because I'm sikh.
Thanks,
Rajdeep

Sat Siri Akaal. Since when is study of dance not allowed in Sikhi? Nothing in the SGGS about dancing being 'forbidden.' Nothing in the rehit given by Guru Gobind Singh about dancing being forbidden.
If this interests you, then just do it. Guru ang sang,
