Summary of Question: | Can I Pray After Using Mouthwash Which Has Alcohol? |

Thank you for all the work you are doing on the site.
My question relates to prayers. Every morning, after I shower, I use Sikhnet to read the Hukamnana. Yesterday, I bought a new mouthwash which tastes foul and whilst using it, it occured to be it has alcohol in it. My normal routine would be to do prayers straight after bathing.
Would it still be ok to continue prayers after using the mouthwash? For the avoidance of doubt and for fear of doing the 'wrong' thing, I did not read Hukam.
Thank you very much.

Sat nam. Using mouthwash with alcohol in it is NOT a kurehit. It is (1) not addictive and (2) not mind altering--unless you drink it. Guru's problem with alcohol was people becoming alcoholic. Alcohol clouds the mind and impairs judgement and is addictive. It is OK to pray and meditate after using such products. It is hard to find mouthwashes WITHOUT alcohol in them, but they do exist.
