When people say that 12 baj gaye, you should take it as a compliment, because looking at the reason behind it, it is indeed a compliment. Why? I posted an article regarding this some time back, right here on this forum. Please search under "the 12 o'clock joke" and you shall find out why it is actually a good being called the "12 o'clock peple"! :) The article is a bit long, but do make sure to read it in order to be able to give a answer back to the people concerned.
