wahe guru ji ka khalse

wahe guru ji ke fateh

Hi, i am new to this site and have read all the questions and replies about castes.I myself do not believe in castes...i am a tarkhan not that it matters as we are all one...KHALSA! Basically i wanted to tell you about the experience we have had in our family regarding castes. My cousin is so much in love with a girl who is a jatt and she was willing to do anything, to be with him. She knew her parents would not agree as he was not a jatt but she still continued seeing him. His family agreed to the marriage. The girl would be at their house everyday and had left work to spend more time with his family, but her parents would think that she was at work as normal. When she did tell her parents, they said NO! My cuzin and the girl had told their parents that if they can't marry each other then they won't marry anyone. Because of this they threw the girl out. The boy's mother accepted the girl and she continued living with the boy and his family. Both did get married and are very happy...but the girl is still not
talking to her family apart from her sister...she's hungry for her parents love!! I just hope they realise that they have lost a diamond!

Basically the girl's family were so caught up in their caste of being a jatt that they didn't realise there daughter's happiness and this is not right. Boys and girls nowadays are meeting different types of people and that's their way of living. If i meet another sikh i wouldn't ask about there caste because it shouldn't matter at all.......our parents and grand-parents need to leave the old rituals behind them and look forward!

No person is higher than another person....as jatt people say that they are rich and higher than all other castes...wel according to me they are the lowest of all! They need to look above there noses and if they're so rich why do they work in farms?!
And all the temples that are made according to castes are pathetic....people should not look down at each other....i go to all temples as the Guru is one!
My parents agree with me and are happy with who ever i meet and marry...as long as he's a sikh!

p.s: i find ur replies very helpful and i hope i havent offended anyone by putting my views across!

p.s.s. please send your reply to my views to the email address above!!
thank you
Keep up the good work!!

with compliments...HARINDER XXX

Thank you for this story. I will post it because it is a good example of the pain caste causes (losing her family).

Guru fateh!
