Summary of Question:Freedom To Love
Category:General Sikhism

I'm very sorry if I cause offence with my questions, but when are we gonna have the freedom to love who we choose, Love is a gift from god and should not be abused. when are we as sikhs going to stop arranged and forced marrage? didnt our beloved Guru Nanak teach us that we are all equal?

Didnt our Beloved Guru Gobind Singh teach us that the caste and marrage according to caste is wrong and dose not belong to khalsa.
Why do we persist to behave like this, Its all wrong.
When I sit in Gurdwarra Langa hall I listen to the elders decideing who should marry who.
I personally beleave that our children should be conceaved with Love and not because the grandparents are putting pressure to have them.

Why dont they just mind their business and concentrate on more important issue like the terrible mess that is India?
Didnt our Gurus try to get it accross to us that the language of god is Love, Im not saying that we should not love and respect our parents, what I'm saying is if you are a good sikh and live your life respectfully, Then shouldnt we have that the freedom to Love, instead of the constant heartach I see all around me, The world is in flames and I beleave this problem is partley to blame. sorry if I caused offence to my fellow sikhs.
