(REPLY) Sat Nam. There are times in life, especially the teen-age years (I'm assuming that's what you're going through) when there are major hormonal changes happening in the physical body that affect the emotions. There are a couple of practical suggestions I can offer, to help you gain some balance. First of all, when you find yourself getting upset, take a few long deep breaths and chant to yourself "Ang Sang Wahe Guru." This will remind you that God is with you, in every fiber of your being. The Second thing I strongly recomment is that you read Jaap Sahib every single day. (Better yet, read all the banis!) But Jaap Sahib is great for anyone who has what I call "roller-coaster emotions." And third, if at all possible, read for an hour a day, at least a few days a week, from Siri Guru Granth Sahib -- in English translation, This will definitely help you keep your perspective on the events that occur in your life. As you know, there's very little that is really worth getting upset about! And the Guru's words will help you maintain that awareness through thick and thin. Believe me, this will work! Take time every day to do some long deep breathing. The slower you breathe, the more control you have over your mind. I wish you the best, may God bless you and Guru guide you to live in Grace.
