I thought i say something here becuase i also questioned Karma and good/evil theory. Following are my conclusions, i hope they help in some aspect. Karma is an ongoing debt we pay in the unknown realm (trikuti and beyond) which we accrue or pay off by our actions here in the known realm (earth).Concept of good and evil is man made and totally dependent on society and is very individualistic. In my eyes, anyone who choses to purchase a weapon & carry it loaded while intoxicated is committing evil. Because they have the means of judging the consequences of their actions, atleast before they went under intoxication. In no world is murder good, mostly it is evil, hence society's norms. THere are people who wake up deciding to hurt the world (pedophiles, habitual rapist). Having a sickness doesn't EXACTLY excuse a crime. Otherwise many would abuse that plea (which i am sure is done already). Thing is everyone has opportunities to be good, some people get lots of choices some get one or two. When you debate over good/evil, you're only looking into the earth's court. Karma is sometihng beyond this. Newton's law serves to satisfy the controversy of good & evil, cause and effect, etc. I don't think you have the right idea of what karma are...you may want to explore. Lastly, i am terribly sorry for your loss. I wish waheguru bless your family.
