Do you think it would be appropriate to excommunicate the people who were involved the Air India bombing ?

It's interesting. Excommunication is a Catholic pracitice that recently some of the clergy in the Sikh Panth have tried to adopt. But really - there's no basis for excommunication in Sikh spirituality. The relationship between a Sikh and the Guru is soveriegn and no one can prevent anyone from meditating on Gurbani. Excommunication is a Catholic device which condemns a soul to Hell for all eternity for going against the tenant of the Church. There's no equivalent in Sikhism - no one can stop anyone from meditating and growing in spiritual awareness.

What we can do for the India Air Bombers is pray for them and pray for Truth to prevail.
