why is it to hard for a indian to marry out of his or her race. why cant one just love someone for his or herself, and not for the color , race , wealth or fame. why is it so difficult , is it because they are going to bring digrace and shame to the family.can a human thats god made be a digrace a family because he or she is in love.

(REPLY) You are asking for a change in cultural bias that has existed for hundreds of years. The feeling of shame and disgrace you mention is totally a cultural -- not a religious attitude. I hope that the time will come - and soon -- when people will not be limited by the externals, but look to the soul -- and the mutuality of commitment to serve God and Guru as the criteria for a marriage.SP
