WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH

Dear Respected Moderators of Sikhnet

The five Kakkars are Kanga, Kachehra, Kara, Kirpan and Keski
Kes is NOT a kakkar right??? Because Kes are a 'part' of a body.
Keski is pehchan which shows that you are Sikh. Please correct me if Im wrong.
So many people argue that Kes are one of the Five Kakkars, Guru Gobind Singh Ji gave The Khalsa, an important part of Bana. So why do people argue so much that Keski is not a Kakkar and Kes is. One of the Katha tellers was asked if Keski is one the Kakkars and not Kes, the guy said so that means we should cut off our hair? How stupid is that because you need kes to do keski and we know that we cant cut our hair or anything and still that Kathakar said something like that how stupid is that sorry I apologise for that. But people argue so much and if you try telling them something and by that meaning 'sharing'they get angry and say things, should I just keep my mouth shut cause people are just not willing to listen to anything right but insist on arguing instead, they just don't see the point. But I know that too is Waheguru's Will.

Another problem I am having is that I am Amritdhari female, I wear bana and sometimes guys look at me. They just stare and I DONT like that. Once or twice I was walking from Gurdwara and someguys went past in the car and beeped the horn at me and made a rude noice. Should I just IGNORE even though I want to bash them up but that wrong because Waheguru is in them. I hate it when I get that kind of attention, these guys were from the Gurdwara too. They should ateleast see that they shouldn't do things like that to a girl who is religous they don't even show any respect.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
You guys are great keep it up
May God & Guru Ji bless you with His Naam!

(REPLY) Sat Nam. Sorry, I must respectfully disagree with you about Keski. Hair is never cut. It may be covered in many ways (for a woman) but a keski is not required. We in the West wear turbans, since why should we not have that royal crown as well as the men? So, the fifth "K" is Kesh. Period. Nothing to argue about. You will not be convinced, nor will I! As for rudeness, it is best to ignore it, because you can't cure ignorance or rudeness by being angry or rude in return. If possible, and you know who these boys are, maybe there's some way one of your brothers, or your father could speak to them, and request them to be respectful. When teasing doesn't get a response, it usually goes away, whereas if you react to it, they will feel they are a great success, and will continue. Blessings, SP
