i am writing this is in referrence to ur response to listening shabds. In your response u said the he can wear patka but i guess in sikhism we are told not to wear caps.ur response is really nice and helpful but i have doubts regarding wearining of caps.
"SIKH HOYE SIR TOPI DHARE,SAAT JANAM KUSHT HOYE MARE"
i may not be right but i think this is in GURU GRANTH SAHIB,plz corrct it if i have said it wrong,
i wud appriciate ur help to clear my doubts in this regard

Thanks Manpreet, we know all about this. The poster of that query apparently did not have a habit of keeping his/her head covered, which is why I suggested a cap. We moderators have to accept that not everyone is a pakka Sikh and the person in question wanted to know how to respect Guru in public while reciting gurbani, not about tying a turban or patka. In this instance, suggesting a cap seemed appropriate. Guru ang sang,
