While reading the SGGS, I noticed that the writings of other saints are also present..such as Sheikh Fareed. Can someone please tell me if these are the actually writings of Shiekh Fareed?
I do not understand if Fareed is saying these verses or is being addressed by the Guru or someone.. for example,
Fareed, the call has come; be careful now - don't let yourself be robbed.||1||
Fareed, it is so difficult to become a humble Saint at the Lord's Door.
Fareed, if I had known that I had so few sesame seeds, I would have been more
careful with them in my hands.(1377-78)
Comments Please.

Sat Nam! Yes, they are the songs of Fareed.
Don't you ever talk to myself? It's common in poetry. "Oh, Nanak. . ." "Says Nanak. . .", etc.
Fareed is admonishing himself.
