its that time of the year where ive got my exams and at first i was quite calm but however in the last couple of days and after having my first exam, ive become quite worried and stressed about them and my mind always seems to be on either making sure that i know everything or what if i dont do aswell as i want to. i was just wondering what the best way was to try and take my mind of my exams and so that it doesnt keep on going round and round in my head and also to help me to become a little more stress free.

any help would be much appreciated

(REPLY) Sat Nam. You can control your thoughts! You can do so by using your breath to calm your mind. Whenever you start to feel stressed, and your mind is in an uproar, sit quietly, close your eyes, and focus on the incoming and outgoing breath through your nose. As you receive each breath think SAT, as it leaves, think NAM, and do this breathing as slowly and deeply as you can, for a few minutes. You can do it for one minute, or five minutes or even longer, and see how it works! Remember, Guru Nanak taught,"Manjeet, Jagjeet" - conquer the mind, you conquer the world! Also, be sure to start every day by reciting Japji Sahib. If you're walking along, and stressing out, then just mentally repeat SAT NAM, or WAHE GURU, or ANG SANG WAHE GURU to remind yourself that God and Guru are always with you. Blessings, and best wishes for your success! SP
