Listen mate. I don't know where you got the idea that the kirpaan as a weapon is outdated. It is a blade is it not? It has a practical use in a hostile situation does it not? The military carry knives, surely they must do this for a reason? A kirpaan in the right hands can be just as deadly as a 9mm handgun. One good throw to the neck and the target is eliminated. Not to mention the obvious advantage at close quarters.

The Kakaars given to the Khalsa by Guru Gobind Singh ji will always have a practical use and will never be outdated. Sorry to sound harsh but I hope you understand now.
