In the reply to the question posted by the fellow asking about Hair Growth, it was also said that it is not acceptible to color the hair.

Now I have had recommended to me a henna formulation which is supposed to be an excellent conditioner. Of course, the major effect of henna is coloring, though since I am already auburn there would not be a very noticeable shift. I am always looking for a heavy-duty conditioner. Although henna does color, is it permissable to use it once a month or so for the purpose of hair care and protection?
