Sat Sri akal Ji,

I use to be very religious and do my paths everyday. I am not doing that anymore because recently in our family I seen so many deaths of young people. They were the finest, kind, loving people. Who struggled all their lives and now they were settling down. They were totally religious. I feel like Wahegure is so heartless. I become more negative towards life and feel like I can go anytime too. Please tell me why Wahegure don't do the justice.

Thanks!

(REPLY) Sat Nam. We do indeed mourn and feel bereaved when a lovely human being leaves the body. What we need to remember is that life on Earth is a temporary opportunity given the soul to fulfill its karma, and when that is done, the soul is freed from the limitations of the physical body and hopefully can return HOME to Wahe Guru. Everything comes from God, and everything returns to GOD, including you and me. Sorrow and suffering , joy and happiness are human conditions that we all experience, and should LEARN from. And yes, you can go anytime, because your life, and mine depend upon God supplying your next breath -- so instead of worrying about it and being upset, use this precious breath to make the world a better place for your having lived and breathed here. If you study Guru Nanak's JAPJI SAHIB, you will see he is trying to teach us the meaning of life, so that we are not attached to the temporary relationships of family -- even though ideally we can enjoy them share love and compassion and kindness with everyone. We are human, and so it is natural to grieve, but at the same time, we must keep in mind that ultimate reality is beyond the human experience. May God bless you and Guru comfort you and give you wisdom and understanding. SP
