Summary of Question:Etiquette For Marriage
Category:Love & Marriage
Date Posted:Wednesday, 4/21/2004 5:07 PM MDT

hello sikhnet.

I will soon begin the search for a wife. I'm just wondering if you could instruct me on the proper etiquette for this sort of thing. For example, I have recently been told that I may be of some interest to someone by this person's relative. Ive already started to get more information by email. Where do I go from here?

What is good etiquette for a 1st meeting? What if I decide that were not a match - how do I say so without hurting feelings? please hlp

Have you gone to the Matrimonials on SikhNet? Many people have found partners there...and it is a very graceful way to go about it. If you keep the relationship at the friendship level until you know, then there is no problem. Don't get physical. Once you get physical, you can't be neutral, the auras begin to merge and it becomes an emotional attachment before the commitment is there. You can be upfront about it. "I am looking for a wife to commit to for life. I am not looking for a flirtatious relationship. If you are interested, we can explore this together...by begining with a friendship and developing it from there." Ask Guru to guide you. Blessings. GTKK
