I am not asking the above question, but would like to give an answer as I read this question.

Rightly, Diwali is not a Gurpurab as such. But Golden Temple is always lit up to celebrate Diwali as that was the day Guru Hargobind arrived at Golden Temple after being freed by Jahangir. So sikhs celebrate Diwali to commerate the joyous arrival of Guru Hargobind after his release from imprisonment.
