Hi,

The last name SINGH is very common in rajasthan where there's a large community of people (hindu people) who are recognized as RAJPUT's. Rajput are also means warrior & royalty, so i am not sure if they adpated singh from sikhs or not. But just so you know that one kind of people who do carry last name Singh are rajputs. Sorry don't know much more.
