i really think that its my preordinated destiny to be a true sikh but, there are doubts that arise especially when i read about things like evolution is the answer, there is no God

Sat Siri Akal.
You know what? Doubts are part of the process. If we didn't ask, "Does God really exist?" then we wouldn't have a chance to discover God as a living reality. We're used to relating to our life mentally - everything is a thought, a word, a concept. But God is not a thought, a word or a concept. It's an all-pervading energy that we can experience within ourselves as we become more subtle through the practice of meditation. So at some point, faith - which is belief - has to give way to experience - which is a confirmation of the truth within ourselves. And the long, dark night of the soul between faith and experience is all about doubt.
So - remember that God (if He exists for real :) is vast enough and wise enough to handle all of your doubts. Go ahead and have them. Just keep doing your practice. It keeps the communication open and gives Him a chance to respond.
All love.
