Hi, I am a non-sikh and I pray Jap Ji Shaheb everyday in the morning and can do sukhmani paat as well (in english), I do paath and then I read the meaning. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for the last 6 years. We have gone to doctors, they don't find anything wrong. We have gone through 3 artificial inseminations and 1 IVF. Why, has god not answered our pray yet. I know you will probably say, god has a plan for you, which I believe. It's just that I feel like time is running out (biological clock is ticking). I want to experience being pregnant and being a mother. I know I would be the best mother, I love kids. I thank god for everything I have today, I am married to a wonderful husband, great jobs and live in a beautiful home. The other reason for getting impatient is that all my inlaws are waiting for us to have child. I don't know what do to? Can you please help me.

(REPLY) Sat Nam. I am sorry that you have not been able yet to conceive a child. We don't know the reason, obviously, since you've tried everything that medical science can offer. It occurs to me that if you really, really love children, that you could adopt a child. Many women find that after adopting a child, they then become pregnant! But even if you don't, why not give a kind and loving home to a child who needs parents? Meanwhile, the most important thing you can do is relax, and allow God's will to prevail. If it is meant for you to conceive a child, you will. Otherwise not. And by accepting God's will -- in everything that happens -- you open that door to happiness. The purpose of life is to experience the divine soul that lives and breathes in you -- and having marriage, children etc. are wonderful things, but they are temporary. Are you reading from Siri Guru Granth Sahib regularly? Are you trying to understand the wisdom in Japji Sahib every morning? Remember, we are fundamentally divine beings, here on Earth to have a human experience- and these experiences are the result usually of past karmas. Determine to be happy no matter what! and to feel blessed and grateful, no matter what! And you will be. SP
