SatNaam

i am born to non-sikh parents. i aspire to be a khalsa one day. however, the intense hatred i see that many so called sikhs have for india is utterly discouraging. i can't leave sikhi or india! i m stuck in the middle. if i was born in sikh family it would've been something different. but since i m not, its way worse than anyone can comprehend :(

please enlighten me with your words of wisdom :(

Sat Siri Akaal. No one is asking you to leave India. Frankly, I can understand why Sikhs might despise India, but to be sure, not ALL Sikhs do. Find some who love their motherland! Moreover, India needs strong khalsa who are truly willing to live as Gursikhs and set a sterling moral example for Sikhs there. The problem in India is that so many 'leaders' in the Sikh community leave much to be desired. They live by politics, rather than by their faith and desire to live truthfully as khalsa. It's not the life you live, it's the COURAGE you bring to it. STAY in India and find some Sikhs you can connect with who can help you become Khalsa. I know they are there. Use the web for starters, or visit a local gurdwara.

I would be remiss if I didn't tell you also to honestly meditate on the Naam daily. The observant Gursikh remembers God daily in meditation, and the benefits of this meditation will take you through your life in victory. So start there. It is my prayer that you find others who want to practice this with you--for you need sadh sangat. Guru ang sang,
-DKK
