Waheguru ji ka khalsa

Waheguru Ji ki Fateh,

Dear khalsa ji
Yours is a wonderfull site helping our youth today.
I as a sikh was searching to find relationship between sikhism and dancing.
On page 364 of SGGS I found the meaning of this line
"pakhand bhangat nirat dukh ho-ay" in english translation written as
"But the dances and worship of the hypocrites bring only pain".
Please help me to explain khalsa ji the meaning of this shabad

Sat Sri Akal,

This Shabad was written by Sri Guru Amar Das Ji. In this, Guruji says that devotional dancing does not bring you close to Waheguru. At best, you will waste your time and then when you don't get closer to Waheguru, you will feel pain. Guruji is saying that senseless acts like dancing and worship of idols does not bring one into the realm of God. Only by meditating on the True Name is one able to pass from this world of maya (illusion) into the Realm of Waheguru.

Please read my answer to the post "Meaning Of The Sentance From Sggs?" for further explanation.

Gur Fateh,
HSD
