satsriakal ji,

they have opposed wearing kara for ages and hav now only sed we can wear them. they are still anoyed with the kara and class it as a weapon. bracelets are banned in our school. the kara should not be classed as a weapon.

wat shall we do?

I am not an attorney, but I suggest that you be grateful for the gain you have gotten. One step at a time wins the race. I would not wear big, threatening, weapon looking karas. Wear the rhinner variety and wear with pride. Impressed upon them in a friendly, non-hostile way that this is a religious symbol, only. When people ask me about my kara I tell them that it is like a big wedding ring...signifying that I am married to God. Don't priests and nuns wear wedding rings on their ring finger for the same symbology? Above all, be friendly, kind, polite and coompassionate. Being hostile, smart-mouthed or defiant will not help you win this. Time and patience and faith will. If they see that you are living your values in all ways of life, they will be more open to symbols as well. Bless you. GTKK
