i want to know that Guru's pictures in sikh home is not murit pujja and also Guru's pictures on news papers,books. Gurus ji had forbidden it clearly in their gurbani. your thoughts on this.

(REPLY) My personal thoughts on this topic are as follows: Originally the concern was to prevent "worship" of "idols" in the form of pictures or statues. But what a shame to not be able to see what our Gurus actually looked like as depicted in artists' drawings! I think by this point in time we can be quite clear that we understand that there is One God, and we worship the Word of God as embodied in Siri Guru Granth Sahib. Period. Pictures are beautiful reminders of our history. We have pictures of our family and friends, because we love them and want to think about them. Blessings, SP
