Sat Sri Akal,

I just felt like writing to this person who posted "Need Advice" on Friday 12/26/2003. I really like the advice that was given. I just want to say that whatever he wrote is very true. I'm a girl and can understand his situation completely. I dont understand why these elder people dont trust their kids.

but yeah, buying a cell phone for your girl friend so that you can talk to her and their parents wouldnt know about it; is not a very wise decision. I feel like whenever you need to hide something from your parents then that means there must have been something wrong and that's why you are hiding it. I mean you are a grown up and if you love that girl then talk to them like a MAN. but I can imagine some elders behave that way in such a situation. The other thing that I want to add is that, this girl needs to grow up a bit too. If she belongs to a family who believe in arranged marriage and she has decided to marry you then she should stand for you. I mean she needs to grow up to make her own decisions. If she can not make her family to respect you now then how her family will respect you after marriage.

It made me laugh when he said "They treat me like I'm some kind of criminal". I hope I havent hurt anyone's feelings. I apologize if I did. SSA.
