I believe in the guru gurbani. The sant I follow as thought me many things about Sikhism and how it was founded, the teachings and many more things I never knew, I think without them I would have been lost, and not been a true believer. What do you think about sants?

Sat Sri Akal,

It is good that you were able to learn about Sikhi from someone else. The only way to learn is by asking and having someone teach you.

However, I am a little distressed when you say that you "follow a sant". You should follow no one but the Guruji, which is the Sri Guru Granth Sahib, and the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, as well as the previous nine Gurujis.

So while I think that it is good to learn from others, we should remember that the true source of knowledge is the Guruji, nothing else. As Sikhs, we follow no one but the True Guru. I'm not saying that you shouldn't listen to other people, it is just that other people will never be able to help you as much as the Gurujis can. Additionally, other people are false, the only timeless and true thing in the universe is Satnam (the True Guru), and that you can only get to by meditating on the name of the True Guru. And you meditate on the name of the True Guru not by listening to some phoney sant, but by doing paath as prescribed by the Sri Guru Granth Sahib.

Gur Fateh,
HSD
