had some spare time. just thought i'd ask this. was wondering if the power of gurbani is in anyway diminished if recited in it's english translation. i know it's a frivolous question, but i'm just curious

Gurbani is Gurbani. Some people will never access it (Guru) unless it is in their own language. While the poetic flow is lost in any translation, the power of Gurbani is not. We have to trust that Guru would rather people know they can access Him in some form than not at all because they cannot read or recite it in the original.
