I think we all need to realize that our relationships here on Earth are only for here. Our union with waheguru is based upon our individual accomplishments and meditation. Therefore i strongly beleive that no one should be an "audience" or "support group" for those taking amrit. Its a sacred ceremony that you take part in on your journey (alone) to Waheguru. Being there for support is attachement as i see it. Being there in order to observe if you are next still isn't suitable because who knows if you will live to see that day. why anticipate on these things? we should be grateful. I know i write things "cold" cut but they are the way things should be (in my opinion).

(REPLY) Sat Nam. I appreciate your poin of view. There is the other school of thought which believes that to observe the Amrit cermony can be inspiring and uplifting -- and possibly lead the observers closer to taking Amrit themselves at some future date. My personal experience in witnessing the Amrit Parchar gave me more of an incentive to take it later. Blessings, SP
