Sat Nam, Friend!

My friend, please know that you are NOT a mistake. Our Divine Creator does not make mistakes. Please don't hurt yourself, for every being is the creation of God the great artist, and artists make masterpieces and don't wish for them to be harmed. And if another person thinks you are a burden, it is that person's problem. You belong to God and yourself and need not carry these horrible things around inside you.

I urge you to please seek counseling. I too grew up being called a mistake, a burden, a pig and worse. My adoptive father was a political prisoner under Adolf Hitler, a mentally sick man who beat on me and tried to prostitute me. It took many years of self-hatred before I got the guts to go get help. I needed convincing that I am not trash. I am now working with an excellent therapist, and am trying to start outreach for others like myself, the descendants of the Holocaust survivors.

In the meantime, remember God and He'll stick by you and carry you through all this. You are a tough person--you must be, because it takes courage to ask for help when everything is darkest--and you'll someday do great things for this world. You will be victorious. Remember God and remember that you are unique and a masterpiece. There will never be another Mona Lisa, nor another you. Be strong and remember that you are royalty under Waheguruji. Good reason to hold your head high, I think.

Blessed be,
Elizabeth
