Dear Moderator and Sangat of Sikh Net

In this day and age, do you see, that all sikhs of the main stream, are not coming under that 1 banner of khalse any longer?

now we have sikhs belonging to the AKJ, The Nihangs, the Koo'ke, The Taksalis, The Akalis etc etc

There are 4 gurdware in Derby (UK) now, the latest 1 opened under the Singh Sabha movement, however most people there belong to akj.

the gurdwara i go to, is run by the Taksal (mehta chowk, dam dami taksal)and there is talk of the guwara being taken over by akalis.

by segregating sikhs, into these seperate sects, (people say that I have had AKJ amrit, some say I have had Nihunhi amrit, some say i have had taksali amrit)

by doing this, we are introducing a "sort of" caste system into amritdhari singhs too.

This is a dire situation we are facing. we must unite, people are once again becoming sheeps, and do not see the bigger picture.

Thus I urge every sikh who reads this, not to follow the status quo any longer, think what you are doing, and question everything, I have highlighted a future problem, me alone cannot correct this,

this caste system is, and can be defined as "Bripan ki reeth" - following of hinduistic methods, and guru Giobind singh has said

Jab Lagh Khalsa Rehay Nehara, tabh lagh tej dehun meh sahaara (as long as the Khalsa stays distinct, i will give my support)

Jabh eh karn Bripan ki reeth, meh na karroo en ki partheeth (when they follow these brahmanistic ways, i will not) notice guru has said - jabh (when) thus it is fortold. its upto us now, to stay away from this as long as we can.

my question is, dear moderator, what can we do? we need to be proactive in addressing this.

(REPLY) Sat Nam. You raise important issues. Let's see what others have to say about this. Blessings, SP
