Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa

Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!!

I have asked you all a question in the past and you replied. Thank you very much for that :)

Have any of you ever heard that when you have done enough baghti to receive Guru Ji's darshan or some other blessings that are unmistakeably from Guru Ji, that you should NEVER tell ANYONE, even by accident? And that if you do, you will have to make up a lot of baghti to receive darshan again.

I'm not sure where this comes from, but my grandmother has told me this and I've heard it from other people as well. Also, she said she's read it in one of Sant Baba Nant Singh's sakis.

This really bothers me. I know that if I ever was fortunate enough to receive such blessings I would be so bubbling over with happiness, I probably couldn't contain myself. And I wouldn't say it in Hunkaar, but in great happiness. And for me to hear of other's receiving darshan only motivates and inspires me!

Am I wrong here? Personally I think it's not a big deal if you share this blessing with others as long as it is not done with pride and ego.

I would greatly appreciate your insight.

THank you very much!

Guru Ang Sang

Sat Nam!!

I tend to agree with you. This is not the age of secrets. If it were, we would not have this Sikhnet web page to share the technology with you. I also agree that it cannot be done in ego or pride. But, if out of your practice of spirituality you receive a blessing, it will shine on your face and in your aura. Not to go around bragging or preaching...but others will notice your radiance and want to know. Of course you can tell them what you did. Here in the ashram here, we share what meditations we are doing and their effects on us all the time. There is a lot of pain and agony in the world right now. It is our duty to help our fellow siblings of the world, if they are open to know. We are also not evangalists, preaching what some one "should" do. If we are living our blessing and radiating it, others will want to know how they can obtain it too. Then, it is out duty to share with them. May Guru guide your way on. GTKK
