WJKKWJKF!!

First of all i would like to say this is an awsome seva you gursikhs are doing, it really really helps alot of young people like me.Also i beleive by questioning shiki more you find out the true meaning of it!Right?

My question is that the people who are born into sikh families are they true sikhs? I mean those people that say they are sikhs but they cut their hair, eat meat, they don't do path (nitnem), or anything else that sikhs should do and are told to do by their Gurus, other than go to gurdwara once or twice month just to catch up with friends and just gossip (mainly girls). So i beleive that they shouldn't be called True sikhs. Also i have a doubt in my mind that untill you don't take amrit you are not a real sikh, is this true?
I would just like your piont of view on this. Do you think it is right or wrong? Please tell me if you think i'm judging people, which i think is wrong.

Thank you soooo much, i really hope you reply back to me because i tried looking for similar questions but i couldn't. And i asked another question before and it never got answered. THANK YOU AGAIN SO MUCH

Sat nam. Today's hukum from Siri Guru Granth Sahib http://www.sgpc.net/hukumnama/index.asp for May 24 describes the Gurmukh. Based on this instruction, the true Sikh is one who lives and acts as a Sikh. One born by heritage as a Sikh is NOT a true Sikh until they live according to Guru's instruction. It's a path of conscious living. Of course, there are many people born Sikh who act Sikh, but just as many people born Sikh who do not act it.
The rehit is also Guru's instruction--but truly applies ONLY if a Gursikh has taken amrit. Do not use amrit as a superficial way to 'judge' the true Sikh --or not!!! Amritdhari Sikhs have taken a vow to live and act like Sikhs. But many do not. And there are just as many non-Amritdhari Sikhs in the world who ACT baptized but are not. Actions speak louder than words. Amrit is a moment in time. What one does afterwards proves the intention.
Guru ang sang,
