WJKK WJKFateh!

Originally Baba Nanak, Baba Muhammed Mir, Sheikh Fareed Data Ganj Baksh, Bhagat Kabir and other contributors to the guru granth sahib originally wrote in persian, and older punjabi which was written in persian text. When Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji was created, is it possible that some of the original thoughts and meanings from earlier saints, and poets could have been lost when the translation and language conversion took place?

(REPLY) Sat Nam. Here's an uneducated opinion! Since the compilers of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib were illumined souls, I doubt that any of the meaning of those previous illumined souls could have been lost. SP
