I read in a previous posting sometime ago the following:


If two people agree to be married and really LIVE that life, then they will take on each others' karma in order to serve each other, and pray for each other in order to help liberate each other. It doesn't mean they become the same person, but that their souls make a pact, sealed by the Guru.

My question is:
If these two people get divorced does that mean that they never actually 'really LIVE'd that life and therefore they did not 'take on each others karma'. In effect they never actually got to that level?

(REPLY) Sat Nam. Ah, but they did take on each other's karma! And they are still carrying it around with them, plus the additional karma of breaking their marriage vows! Any time a person has an intimate relationship with someone, there is an exchange of karma. SP
