Namastwang Akale,

I read the ordeal which was suffered by these girls and on one hand am disgusted by the level of abuse they suffered, but on the other hand I feel it really exposes the lack of common awareness and common sense amongst youths today. It also exposes a lack of understanding about the principles of our religion.
This girl said she came from a religious background yet she allowed herself to become attached and develop poisionous habits (Drugs, drinking, smoking). I'm afraid this all emphasises the westernised way of being 'cool'. No one wants to be the 'odd one out'.

You see people this is the beauty of our religion and the strength it gives us. We no longer need to act 'cool', for when one joins with the Guru all love and attachment for worldly stature and authority vanishes. We become innocent onlookers as we are following the path of the Guru and we no longer have an urge to 'fit in'.
We witness those around us suffering due to the destructive path they follow, a path of falsehood, lies, deceit and maya.

Listen people instead of trying to fit in within normal society, try and fit in with the society of the holy (Sadh Sangat). Let Guruji guide you and you will no longer feel alone or left out.

Nanak te mukh ujle kithe chutte nal. Waheguru ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh

Thank you for your wise insights. Blessings. GTKK
