I have heard that we are unable to touch meat products, milk, cigarettes and alcohol is this true? By this I mean that we do not consume the alcohol and cigarettes but just touch the product?

(REPLY) Sat Nam. There is no prohibition about "touching" things that I know of. The word "touching" may have been used to emphasize staying away from those things. And certainly, we can and do drink milk. Milk is not meat. We do not consume meat products (dead flesh of animals, fish, and poultry) nor do we smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol. SP
