Waheguru Je ka Khalsa, Waheguru je ke fateh

Hello, i would like to know if it is possible to marry someone with the same surname? Ok, i understand if the other person is related to you, then it's a big no no, but however if there is no relation except having the same surname, how can we go about this? Is it possible?

I have spoken to several people mostly sant-ji's, some have said yes, some no.

I am a sikh and believe in waheguru, please advise me on this.

Thankyou
Raj
