Sat Sri Akal.

In continuation to the question that has been asked many time regarding the word 'singh' being in our name could this be a possible explaination of it?

Since sikhism was adopted by people from every religion, irrespective of their caste/creed/sex/location, it might have been possible that people from other religion/location had their names with singh in it prior to the birth of sikhism. Also its not surprising to find hindus having similar surnames as our. Can this be due to the fact that our forefathers, who were hindus originally adopted sikhism and hance we have people from other religions having similar surnames as ours?

----

I think this is a very possible and probable answer. Isn't it true that many families had Sikhs and Hindus in the same family? Isn't it sad that things have gotten so divided, judgmental and prejudiced? Hatred is a poison. Blessings. GTKK
