waheguru ji ki fateh..

hi there... i was going through some of the postings and i ran into a term called "white-sikh gurudwara" i know nobody was trying to be driciminating... but all i want to know is that, can all sikh visit and worship there?? or only white sikhs can?
i hope i didnt sound rude as this is a silly question.. but i wasnt clear about it :)

(REPLY) Sat Nam. The term "white-Sikh" is really terrible, and quite offensive. Probably someone wanted to indicate a Gurdwara that is administered by non-Indian Sikhs. In such Gurdwaras, the hukam is translated into English, and Gurbani Kirtan transliterations are available for the sadh sangat to be able to sing along with the ragis. A Sikh is a Sikh, is a Sikh, no matter what color her/his skin is! Unfortunately, I do see postings on this site from people who talk about somebody being "white." Neither caste nor color nor gender should make any difference to a Sikh , and especially not to a Khalsa! Our Gurus, starting with Guru Nanak tried to teach us to dissolve the boundaries and walls of prejudice that separate human beings, and remember that each of us is a sacred soul.
