can u tell me where is it written plzz, and where did guru ji said this?
Reply:
I didn't find that written in the Guru, I heard it from Siri Singh Sahib.
The one thing that I know is that I don't know very much, so when someone who is obviously wiser than me shares some information, I listen. But when you read the Guru it is clear that it's not the physical actions and appearances that matter, its the attitude behind it. So you have to figure out what your reasoning is for not wearing your hair up, whether you believe it is the better thing to do, and whether your reasoning behind it is righteous or coming from fear. It sounds to me like you have no problem socially wearing a full pag, but for some reason you've gone for a more 'normal' look. Whatever that reason is, if it is righteous, then go for it, if it isn't then know what it is and decide what you want to do with it. Do you want to feed it or do you want to conquer it? It's really up to you, Guru ji is only interested in truth, righteous actions and living, and constant love of God.
On a side note, I find that being a student (or Sikh) of the Guru and striving to learn from the Guru, the fact that all of the Gurus wore some kind of full pag should weigh in somehow.
