frankly there is nothing wrong in having the Guru's photos hanging in our house.if you take care that no one around starts putting flowers or bowing in front of it. we have a gurudwara in here wherepeople actually don't bow in front of the guru granth sahib but in front of the photo of guru nanak dev ji.that really irritates me as the people have stared to do something our gurus were truly against.people even face the photos during ardas ,slowly they start bowing to the photos , and one day they ignore the guru granth saahib and bow only to the photos
